Contract Fabric Supplier for UAE Hospitality Projects

The UAE operates more 5-star and luxury hotel rooms per capita than any other country in the world. Dubai alone has over 900 hotel properties, and every curtain installed in a hotel guest room must meet FR fire certification standards to pass Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ACDA) inspection. For procurement managers and FF&E consultants sourcing at scale, the challenge is finding a supplier who can deliver certified fabric at project volume, with the right documentation, at a price point that keeps FF&E budgets intact.

Surat, Gujarat (where Alvora Global Fabrics manufactures) is Asia's largest synthetic textile manufacturing centre. The city's vertically integrated production chain (polymerisation through finishing and technical coating) provides the same fabric quality and FR certification traceability as European suppliers at significantly lower FOB pricing. English-speaking account management and MSME/IEC export infrastructure mean procurement documentation is handled correctly for GCC customs from the first shipment.

For UAE hotel projects, the certification that matters most is M1 (NF P 92-503), the standard required by Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide, and IHG brand compliance manuals for GCC properties. M1 is the French fire reaction classification; a fabric that achieves M1 satisfies BS 5867 Part 2 Type B (the UAE civil defence minimum) automatically. For US-brand properties, NFPA 701 is required in addition to or instead of M1. Alvora's FR Blackout (AGF-BL-01) carries both M1 and NFPA 701 certification, a single fabric specification that satisfies all three major brand compliance requirements in one order.

All fabric ships FOB Mundra to Jebel Ali (DP World). Sea freight is typically 10–18 days from Mundra port, depending on vessel schedule and customs clearance. Documentation package with every shipment: original FR laboratory certificates, Certificate of Origin (FIEO/EIC), commercial invoice with HS 5903 codes, and packing declaration for FR goods. Original certificates (not self-declarations) are required by Dubai Customs for FR fabric inspection at Jebel Ali.
